Health
For our communities and state to grow and thrive, we must ensure access to affordable physical health care, mental health care, and substance use treatment. We must ensure that our children live in safe and healthy communities, that elders have access to affordable medical care and prescription drugs, and that people with disabilities have opportunities to live within the communities of their choosing. I will work to ensure responsible investment in our social safety net.

Climate Change
Climate change is among the most significant issues of our time. We no longer have time to kick this can down the road. Our children and grandchildren’s lives depend on our taking urgent steps to slow the progression of climate change. I support responsible investment in clean energy, including investment in electric vehicles and the siting of charging stations, and in solar, water and wind where appropriate to maximize their contribution to the grid while being mindful of the impact huge wind and solar projects have on our landscape and communities. I support innovative businesses working hard to develop new technologies and ways of doing as we decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. Home heating is an area of significant concern. I support investment in private and public entities working together to insulate and retrofit our aging housing stock and investment in new green construction.

Education
As the mother of four adult children, a registered nurse, and a lactation consultant, I support investment in our children and families. Investment in education is essential for a thriving community, from universal pre-K through training in the trades or postsecondary schooling. Our rural towns value local control and, at the same time, understand that we must ensure that all children have equal educational opportunities. My moral values recognize that diversity and inclusion are a basic and important thread in the fabric of our communities and schools.

Economic Development
As a rural small business owner, I know the importance of investing in our small towns. I believe that the best way to do that is to take a multifaceted approach. We need to invest in our infrastructure, including through energy improvements and continued expansion to broadband access. We need to invest in our housing, to make sure that our workers can afford to live in the communities in which they labor. And we need to expand tax incentives for local businesses to stay in our communities.
We must maintain the beauty of our working landscapes and the lure of our outdoor activities, for the sake of both our residents and the many visitors who enjoy what Vermont has to offer.
In my three terms on the Chester Selectboard, I've supported local investment. I've worked to secure grant funding to renovate the Town Hall and the development of a new public safety building to house fire and police services. I have supported the appointment of qualified community members to the Development Review Board and the Chester Planning Commission, who review and propose zoning regulations to balance growth and protection of our rural landscape.
As a member of the Vermont Economic Progress Council (VEPC), I work to help businesses grow and to encourage private economic development throughout Vermont.
As your representative in Montpelier, I’ll work to support responsible development and investment in our communities for the benefit of all who live and enjoy visiting our towns.

Prop 5
I fully support Prop 5, an amendment to our state constitution that will ensure the right to personal reproductive liberty.
Motherhood is a profoundly rewarding experience. I believe that a woman's choice to proceed with a pregnancy is ultimately just that: her choice. I do not believe that the government has a role in this decision. I believe in the right to choose.
Prop 5 will be on the ballot in November. I strongly support this amendment and encourage all Vermonters to vote “YES.” Let’s make sure that Vermont protects each of our rights to personal reproductive liberty.
