To the editor: Rep. Chase works to meet constituent needs

I’m writing to support Heather Chase for re-election to the Windham-Windsor seat in the Vermont House of Representatives that she now holds, representing Athens, Chester, Grafton and Windham.

I first saw Heather in action when she was a member of the Chester Select Board, which that night was dealing with a very complicated issue facing the town. I was immediately impressed by the depth and breadth of her thinking, her ability to understand a variety of points of view, and her interest in doing what was best for the Chester community. Since she has served as my state representative, I have continued to be pleased with her interest in considering the well-being of her district and the state of Vermont, as well as the needs and interests of the individuals she serves. To the editor: Chase has been terrific for Grafton

Heather Chase has been a terrific representative for Grafton. Heather is very responsive to our needs as individuals and as a town. She is committed to helping small schools survive and will be front and center in the fight to keep Grace Cottage Hospital open. (read more) The Chester Telegraph, Oct. 21, 2024.

To the editor: Only Heather Chase will stand up for IVF and abortion care in race for State House

My name is Krista, I’m a life-long Vermonter who lives in Athens on the same land that my family has for at least six generations, and I write to endorse Heather Chase for our state representative.

This election is deeply personal to me as my ability to have children — and the ability to receive life-saving medical care if God forbid I miscarry — could quite literally depend upon the outcome of this election. (read more) The Chester Telegraph October 17, 2024

Letter to the Editor: Chase has integrity, compassion and should be re-elected to State House

I am delighted to support Heather Chase, a person of integrity and compassion, in her re-election for state representative for the people in the towns of Athens, Chester, Grafton and Windham.

Heather has served us well in Montpelier. As a nurse and a mother, she is a champion of the rights of a woman to make her own health-care decisions. In the face of increased school taxes, she has supported the homeowners in her district for tax relief all the way to Gov. Phil Scott. She voted to make child care more affordable, which increases the employment opportunities for working parents.

Don’t be misled by the disinformation and false statements from her opponents. Heather does not support a carbon tax and the Vermont legislature has not voted to raise heating oil costs. (read more) Leigh Dakin, Former State Representative, The Chester Telegraph October 14, 2024

Letter to the Editor: Chase demonstrates leadership and knowledge of issues

it is with great pleasure that I endorse Heather Chase for re-election for another two-year term as our State Representative serving Chester, Grafton, Windham and Athens. I had the opportunity to serve with Heather for several years on the Chester Select Board before serving myself as a State Representative in Montpelier. She was always conscientious and thorough in her approach to town government, demonstrating leadership and a deep knowledge and understanding of the issues facing our community. As your State Representative for the last two years, Heather has continued to show the same qualities she had during her nine years of service on the Chester Select Board. Letter to the Editor: Jonynas endorses Chase for re-election

It is my privilege to endorse Heather Chase for reelection to the Vermont State House for the Windham/Windsor district. Heather has been a strong proponent of fair and considerate legislation in the interest of all Vermonters. She is open and receptive to the needs and concerns of her fellow neighbor constituents. She is always willing to help people asking for assistance in government related matters. If she doesn’t know the answer to your question, she will find the resource or person to help. Letter to the Editor: Rep. Chase has been attentive to Windham taxpayer needs

I am writing to support the reelection of Heather Chase, delegate to the Vermont House from the Windham-Windsor District. Heather Chase has kept our community of Windham well-informed about legislation being considered in Montpelier.  She has met in person with Windham residents, attended our community events and has submitted articles regularly to our community newsletter. To the residents of Athens, Chester, Grafton and Windham,

This election for our president and vice president may be the most important vote that we as citizens of the United States have had in our lifetimes. LTE Heather Chase veto session summary

Dear Residents of Athens, Chester, Grafton, and Windham,

As your state representative, I am proud to have participated in the democratic process of legislating this week. On June 17, 2024, the legislature reconvened at the state house to vote to override the governor’s veto of six bills of importance to Vermont residents, taxpayers, and public school students, including:

H.887 (the so-called “yield bill”) is a balanced bill that fully funds local school budgets approved by voters, invests tens of millions of dollars to immediately lower property tax rates in all communities, provides additional tax relief for the many Vermonters eligible for a property tax credit based on income, establishes a commission on the future of public education – with public hearings in all 14 counties – to reimagine how Vermont provides a high quality education to our children at an affordable and sustainable rate for taxpayers.
